2 Month Count Down

So now that we have a tiny bit less then two months until the baby comes I have been a lot more tired and sore, I guess I cant complain since I have felt pretty good up until now. Perhaps I would feel better if I wanted to eat anything besides ice cubes and doughnuts, I know very nutritious! I am still guessing that it is a girl but Olivia lately has been saying she wants a brother so I guess we are good either way! I think it is about time to start thinking about getting some stuff together for the baby and buying a few things for him/her. I have started having my doctor’s appointments every two weeks so the end must be in sight! I am still pondering the idea of having this baby without an epidural since I felt so much better after having Zachary that way, I just don’t know if I can go into the whole process knowing that relief isn’t on the way.

Chuck E Cheese

Our wonderful friends invited our kids to go to Chuck E Cheese for their cute twins’ birthday party. The kids had fun playing some of the games but I think Rob had the most fun. Olivia found the rides too scary and Zachary mostly just enjoyed running all over and pretending to drive the cars. It wasn’t the Chuck E Cheese that I remember from my childhood but that is kind of how things are I guess.

I Love To See The Temple

We had tickets to attend the Draper Temple Open House on the 21st. We took both the kids and hoped that they would be somewhat reverent and that it wouldn’t take the 3 hours that we had heard that it might. Lucky for us both the kids were very good and it only took us an hour and half from getting to the parking lot to leaving the parking lot. Olivia enjoyed the bus drive there and back and the video on the temple that they showed at the stake center. Zachary appeared to like the baptismal font since he threw a huge fit when we had to walk away, either that or he just wanted to go for a swim. I loved the celestial room, the chandelier and other lighting is so beautiful. It was great to have the opportunity to show the temple to the kids even if they are too little to really understand the significance of it. We hope to be able to go to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House in the summer, too. What an amazing time we live in to be able to go to these open houses.

Look Who Is Two!

Zachary turned two on the 16th, those two years sure have gone fast! He has had a nasty cough and runny nose and hasnt been sleeping well so it wasnt the most fun birthday ever but we tried.

We started the day with an 8:30am dentist appt, I know what a mean mom! It actually went really well and thankfully neither of the kids has any cavities. The dentist gave them new toothbrushes so they were thrilled and Zachary got a teddy bear for going in on his actual birthday which I though was nice. We then went to the party store in downtown Lehi to get a balloon for each of them, unfortunately Zachary’s popped when we were getting out of the van. Olivia was more upset then he was though and immediately went and got him one of the star balloons we had gotten on Valentine’s Day which I thought was very sweet of her.
After being home for just a bit we went and met Rob at his work so we could go to Build a Bear so that we could use Zachary’s birthday coupon. He picked a frog and he and Olivia had fun making it. After coming home and taking nice long naps we got ready for his little birthday dinner with just us and Aunty Jen. He liked the frosting off of the cupcake more then the actual cupcake!
Then it was time for presents, we actually haven’t bought his present yet but we keep a box of garage sale toys for extra Christmas and birthday presents for the kids so we picked some fun “new” things out of that for him. The kids both love the new vacuum, funny since they really don’t like the real vacuum. The new little cars were a hit, too! Thanks to Aunty Jen for the cute new clothes and much needed 2T pjs and to Grandma Elizabeth for the blanket and toy bin.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Rob and I arent the type to make a big deal out of Valentine’s Day so it was pretty low key around here. Olivia did have a party at her school so we made crayons and sucker flowers for her to give out, plus she colored her cute little valentine’s. The kids also really enjoyed the candy that Grandma and Grandpa brought for them.

Baby Colin

Olivia was so excited to meet her new baby cousin. She keeps asking if she can hold our baby when it comes, I hope she enjoys the new baby as much as she thinks she will!

I am really liking being a mom lately, this isnt something that is always true for me. Honestly I am not a baby person and as my little ones get bigger I find myself enjoying them even more.
I love that my little ones are getting big enough to play together for (brief moments) nicely.
I love that they sleep pretty well, both at night and at naptime.
I love that taking them to the store is easier now that we dont have to bring a diaper bag everywhere.
I like that they love to go to nursery/primary allowing me to enjoy church (and I love that their teachers are so wonderful).
I love that they come to give me (and the baby) hugs and kisses at random times.
I love to see how excited they are when Rob comes home.
I like that they think helping me pickup or do the dishes or laundry is fun.
I am going to try to remember these things for “those” days!

Rob and I went to Tucanos for his birthday dinner since they give you a buy 1 get 1 free meal during your birthday month. The food was very, very yummy! Of course by the time they finally got us seated I think I would have thought anything was yummy. I really liked the fried bananas, teriyaki beef skewers, and of course the grilled pineapples! It was kinda hot in the resturant but we both left very stuffed.

Zachary has been having lots of fun dressing up in other people’s clothes lately. We did buy him some boy rain boots this weekend so hopefully wearing shoes that are his size will be fun for him, too.
Notice that he is wearing one purple boot and one pink boot.

Yay, for Daddy’s shoes!

Wearing Lu’s boots and hat and Daddy’s gloves.
