Wow, how quickly the years have gone! This blog was last updated in 2013 and now it is suddenly 8 years later. I didn’t really understand what my mom meant when she said that the years are short but the days are long when the kids were little and I was drowning in diapers and naptimes. But it feels like overnight that now our kids are 16, 14, 12, & 10. Olivia has her license and a job, is in color guard and is an SBO at her high school. Zachary plays the trumpet and terrorizes his siblings and the dog. Zander plays lacrosse (after 5 years of baseball) and he remains the only child to break a bone and now can say he has broken both his leg and his arm. Sophia also plays lacrosse after cheerleading for a few years and is a really good painter. We moved to Herriman in March of 2020 after living in our Lehi house for 14 years, we were all a little sad to leave but it has been a huge blessing for our family. However I don’t ever want to move during a pandemic again!
I am currently in my second semester at BYU-I after finishing Pathways. I am currently working on my social media marketing certificate with plans to get my associates and then my bachelors about the same time Sophia graduates from high school. This week we were asked to make a blog post so I blew the dust off this blog to complete the assignment. The world of social media has certainly changed in 8 years and “mommy blogs” became Facebook and Instagram pages. I will always be glad that I captured these little snippets of our life on here though.
